Why I'm doing this

A while back I started ranking the hundred greatest books ever written and posting them one at a time.
I figured a few friends might care.
Thousands of people showed up to argue, agree, and read along.

But watching a ranking isn't reading the books. So this is the next step. We read them together, one a month, the way I always wished someone would read them with me. I'm starting with fifty people, because the first group sets the tone for everything after. I'd love for you to be one of them.
